Edhi refuses Modi’s aid

KARACHI: Pakistan largest welfare foundation, Edhi Foundation has on Tuesday refused to accept assistance from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to a statement from spokesman of foundation, Edhi Foundation has a policy not to accept any aid, donation, assistance from government or government run institutions. The foundation meets all of its financial needs through donations from common people.

The statement further added that Edhi Foundation has never received any funding from any government around the world.

Earlier Yesterday Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Edhi Foundation on Geeta’s matter and announced aid of Rs 10 million for the foundation through his tweet.
