Makkah: 17 Pakistani pilgrims injured in crane collapse, Sources

ISLAMABAD: An emergency call center has been set up in Pakistan to inquire about Pakistani pilgrims in Makkah after the sad incident of crane collapsing on thousands of pilgrims in grand Masjid-Al-Haram, Makkah, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, people can dial 042-111725425 to inquire about the health of their relatives and family member’s. inquiries

Meanwhile Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed Pak ambassador in Saudi Arabia to reach Makkah and inquire about the health of injured people.

President and PM also extended condolence to bereaved families and prayed for departed souls.

TheNewsTribe’s (TNT) correspondent from Makkah reported that at least 17 Pakistani pilgrim have been injured in crane collapse.

Director Hajj Abu Kaif has stated that he is in contact with Pakistani officials and said injuries or martyrs from Pakistan cannot be confirmed yet.

Minister for Religious Affairs has also said that he is collecting information about Pakistani pilgrims and no death or injury has been reported from Pakistan camp.
