Space X Rocket to International Space Station explodes on takeoff

FLORIDA: The Space X rocket Falcon 9 carrying supplies to the International Space Station (ISS) exploded shortly after liftoff on Sunday. The unfortunate rocket was carrying more than 2000 kilograms of supplies.

Debri fell into the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Caneveral, Florida where the rocket was launched. It also carried the newly introduced docking port for commercial crew capsules.

The California based company Space X is baffled with the failure after seven consecutive successful launches.

ISS residents have supplies that would keep them out of trouble until October however Russia would be launching another rocket this month. The exploded rocket contained food, clothes, equipment and other supplies.

Space X, CEO Elon Musk explained in his tweet:

This is second failed attempt in a row where the first was faced by Russians in April this year.
