Religious Outfit protest Against Leader’s arrest in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – The workers of religious outfit,Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), protests against the arrest of their central president, Allama Aurangzeb Farooqi, here in Ab-para Chowk.

According to the sources, protesters term the arrest illegal and inhuman. They demand sudden release of their leader, otherwise they hint to widen the protest all over country.

Expressing concerns over the arrest of their key leader, ASWJ chief Allama Muhammad Ahmed Ludhianvi said law enforcers arrested Farooqi instead of arresting those who were killing ASWJ workers.

In the last two years, around 20 workers of the ASWJ have been killed in twin cities and it is a question mark on the government’s performance, Ludhianvi said in a statement.
