ISLAMABAD – Helicopter MI-17 carrying visitors crash landed in Naltar, Gilgit bearing 7 fatalities including the pilots, two foreign envoys and wives of Indonesian and Malaysian ambassadors on Friday morning.
Pakistan Defence Minister Khwaja Asif told the media that incident took place due to technical reason.
ISPR, the media relation department of Pakistan Armed Forces confirmed the incident.
Helicopter was on the way to Naltar, one of the most famous tourism place of Pakistan’s northern areas.
Injured people were shifted to the nearby health facility and to Pakistan Army owned and operated Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Gilgit.
