No rewards for beating India: Shaharyar

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shaharyar Khan has said that players would not get any award if they beat India in Sunday’s match.

The PCB chairman was asked by reporters if the team would be rewarded if it managed to beat the arch-rivals.

Pakistan take on India in their first match of the World Cup at Adelaide Oval. Pakistan have never beaten India in a World Cup match.

Saeed Ajmal will be available if any other player in Pakistan squad suffers an injury.

Saeed Ajmal could have replaced Junaid Khan when he cleared the official International Cricket Council (ICC) action reassessment, but Rahat Ali was sent instead of him.

The PCB chief hoped that Pakistan would be successful in lifting the trophy for the second time.
