Lionel Messi levels Raul’s Champions League scoring record

MADRID: Argentinean star footballer Lionel Messi has equaled Barcelona legend Raul’s all-time Champions league scoring record.

Barcelona striker, Messi achieved this milestone after scoring two goals against Ajax in 36th and 76th minutes of the game.

Messi’s 76th minute score not only ensured club’s victory nut also leveled the all time scoring record of 71 goals in a Champions League.

The Argentine skipper took 90 matches to achieve this record. Messi’s rival Cristiano Ronaldo who won the golden boot of the year is just a goal behind Messi as he scored 70 goals in 107 games.
