Google Nexus 6 (Nexus X) release date, price, features and more

WASHINGTON: We haven’t seen any device from Google yet this year, now new leaked invitation hints October 8 launch of company’s first device.

Google Nexus 6 one of the company’s highly anticipated smartphone schedule to launch in the fourth quarter of this year.

We have seen the glimpse of the device in some leaked images while rumours and reports are playing their part as well.

Recently the report revealed that Google once again looking forward to co produce the device, just like recent Nexus badge.

Google already worked with LG for Nexus 5 while company rumoured to grant services from HTC, while recent report suggest that company is working with Motorola for 2014 flagship.

On the other hand the most probable name for the next generation Nexus is Google Nexus 6 just like recent Nexus devices, but new report reveal that the new Nexus smartphone will be called Nexus X.

Based on its performance relative to these devices TechTastic reckons the Nexus 6 will sport a 1080p display and a Snapdragon 801 chipset, unsurprising specs for a high-end handset and probably a safe bet.

Nexus X likely to feature a 5.92-inch display, not 5.2-inch as previously rumored, boasting a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at a pixel density of 498 ppi.

Other specs reportedly include 32GB of internal storage capacity, a 13-megapixel rear camera with 4K UHD video recording capabilities, and a 3,200 mAh battery. On the software side, a 64-bit Android L will apparently run the show.

On the other hand sources claimed that it will include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz, 3GB of RAM.

These sources also claimed the Nexus X has a fingerprint scanner, much like the Nexus 6 is rumored to have.

They added that the code-named Nexus 6 will arrive in November, and Google already confirmed that a new Nexus device is indeed on its way this year.

Just like Google Nexus 5 the device is set to launch with new operating system likely Android L.

The device is also rumoured to launch with IPS certificating, which means it will be water and dust resistance similar to the current range of smartphones available in the market.

And despite these insanely great features residing on the Nexus 6 on release date, Android watchers believe that the handset will remain affordable – pretty much reflecting the price tags carried by the Nexus 5, which should make the vanilla Android phone all the more irresistible.

According to Phone Arena, the phone should start selling this fall, before October, and could cost up to $499.99 in the U.S. and €419.99 in Europe.

So far nothing is official yet form Google about the Google Nexus  plans, we will keep you updated on this matter.
