PPP parliamentarians announce protests against K-Electric

KARACHI: Ruling political party in Sindh province, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), parliamentarians have announced to stage sit-in outside largest electricity supplier K-Electric against worst load shedding in Karachi.


Minister of Information & Archives Sharjeel Memon announced on behalf of his political party that all PPP parliamentarians will stage sit-in outside K-Electric office in Karachi on Sunday (tomorrow).

Various areas of the Sindh province including Karachi, the metropolis of Pakistan, facing menace of load shedding up to 18 hours a day since last major electricity shut down due to technical issues.

The provincial minister said that Karachittes cannot be left alone in hands of K-Electric and ordered the PPP activists to reach at K-Electric office at 3:00pm tomorrow.

He said that protests will be staged against Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) on different spots across Sindh.
