GWADAR: Notorious Lyari gang leader Baba Ladla was shot dead in a rapid exchange of fire near Pak-Iran borders, sources say.
According to reports, The gang leader was shot 3 times while trying to cross Iranian border reportedly by Iranian forces.
Sources said that Iranian border guards intercepted Baba Ladla and asked him to surrender. When he refused to do so, the guards opened fire, killing him on the spot.
Ladla was one of the gangsters named in the Sindh Police’s ‘Red Book’ and the Sindh government had set Rs300,000 as bounty for anyone who assists in his capture.
Baba Ladla went into hiding after the start of Karachi operation.
Baba Ladla and Uzair Baloch groups fought a bloody gang war in Lyari for months with a temporary ceasefire in March.
He was a resident of Dubai Chowk, Lyari.
