RAWALPINDI: Former Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General (retd.) Hameed Gul said that Interior Ministry and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) are responsible for the propoganda against the intelligence agency.
Addressing a news conference from the office of ex-servicemen society on Tuesday, he said that the nation has foiled the negative propoganda by sending a message of love to its military.
“Pakistan Army has benefited depsite the negative propaganda”, he added. He urged that reforms are necessary in the media.
Hameed Gul maintained that former military ruler Pervez Musharraf cannot be called a ‘traitor’ and his trial should be under legal norms.
While commenting on the elections in Afghanistan, former DG ISI said that it will be better for the country if Dr. Abdullah Abdullah comes into power.
Hameed Gul also added that no retired personnel of Pakistan Army is going to fight any conflicts in the Gulf region.
