ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday has announced to challenge Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (PPO) in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) with the consultation of all the opposition parties
PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said this while speaking to media outside the parliament house on Tuesday along with PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other senior leadership.
He said all the opposition parties of the parliament protested against the bill and walked out.
The government approved the bill in the absence of the opposition parties.
He said they already have got support of Muthaida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamat-e-Islamai (JI) to challenge the PPO in the SC.
Earlier today, speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq did not allow opposition to hold debate against the ordinance.
Speaker viewed that it was against the rule of parliament to debate approved matter.
