DUBAI- India beat Pakistan by 40 runs in a Group-A match of the Under-19 cricket World Cup 2014 today at Dubai International Cricket stadium.
Chasing a challenging target of 263 set by India, Pakistan were all out for 222 with 6 balls to spare.
Captain Sami Aslam struck 64 to lead the chase, but his untimely run out swung the game in India’s favor as other Pakistani batsmen kept loosing wickets regularly.
Aslam was supported by Imam-ul-Haq who made 39 while Saud Shakeel also chipped in with 32 runs.
Deepak Hooda bagged 5/41 for India to register a convincing win.
Earlier, half centuries by Sarfraz Khan (74) and Sanju Samson (68) guided India to 262 which proved to be much for Pakistan.
