Washington: US carrier Sprint finally announce highly anticipated LG’s flagship smartphone LG G Flex with free QuickWindow Folio case.
The device will be available from January 31 for $299.99 on a new 2-year contract. The LG G Flex is the world’s first curved and flexible smartphone to hit the U.S. and Sprint has just announced it will be the first carrier to offer the very unique smartphone to its customers.
The LG G Flex uses a curved P-OLED display that makes flexible the device very comfortable to hold up to your face when you need to talk on the phone, and it also provides excellent viewing angles when you need to watch something. The Sprint LG G Flex also features an enhanced LTE radio that takes advantage of Sprint’s ultra fast Spark network, which can achieve speeds up to 60Mbps.

The LG G Flex features a 6-inch curved 1280 x 720 curved P-OLED display with a pixel density of 245 pixels per inch (ppi) and it’s running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It’s powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit (GPU).
LG ships the G Flex with 32GB of internal storage (no microSD expansion slot) and 2GB of RAM. The handset is also packing in a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and the ability to record 1080p video @60fps, as well as a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Its wireless connectivity options consist of a 4G LTE radio, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy), GPS, and NFC. It also has a special coating on the back of its case that can heal itself from small scratches. The smartphone uses a non-removable 3,500 mAh battery, which will provide up to 29 hours of talk time.
The Sprint LG G Flex will cost $299.99 when signing a new 2-year contract and will go on sale Jan. 31 through Sprint’s online store. Retail stores will have the smartphone in stock on Feb.7. Interested customers can pre-order the device Jan. 16-31 and receive a free QuickWindow Folio Case ($59.99 value).
