Islamabad: India has announced an extention in a deadline till February 14, for polio vaccinations for all Pakistanis to travel India.
A statement issued by Indian High Commission in Islamabad said after the expiry all persons travelling to India from Pakistan are required to obtain an Oral Polio Vaccination at least six weeks prior to their departure to India.
It said travellers from Pakistan to carry their vaccination record as evidence of polio vaccination upon entry into India.
Travellers from Pakistan, even Indian nationals on visit to Pakistan, would be required to carry their vaccination record as evidence of polio vaccination upon entry into India.
India had said last month that it would be mandatory for all persons – adults or children – travelling to the country from Pakistan to furnish proof of vaccination against polio from January 30.
