Pakistan Railways will empower electricity power distribution companies to send bills directly to residents of Railways colony.
At present, Railways colonies are exempted from direct billing with a indirect method is in place facilitating employees and their families.
But, given the losses, Khawaja Saad Rafique’s ministry decides to ask to the residents of such colonies to transfer meter ownership to their names.
All the record will now be named after employees, the ministry officials said.
