Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) likely to made fundamental changes in the party’s structure following political parties trends like Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Awami National Party (ANP) in upcoming high level meeting in Lahore today.
Outgoing President of Pakistan and co-chairman of PPP has decided to preside over meeting in Lahore regarding restructuring of his political party. On Sunday, some important decisions are expected including naming him co-chairman of the party again.
Other decisions likely to be expected are changing the provincial presidents, new memberships, task force for the preparation of local bodies elections and think tanks to be included in the party. PPP sources claim that when Asif Ali Zardari officially end his tenure as ‘President of Pakistan’, he will get reception from various parts of country.
Sources also claim that he may also go abroad and spend quality time with his children. According to London’s premier broadcasting company, Asif Zardari plans to make his first speech after presidency which would likely be in Islamabad or Lahore. According to an important personality within PPP, soon to be ex. President would like to restructure PPP and would soon takeover his responsibilities as co chairman of the party.
PPP leader Raja Rayaz claims that the press conference will be carried out in Bilawal House Lahore and special invitations have been sent to discontented workers.
