NORTH WAZIRISTAN: At least four persons including a prominent militant commander Wali ur Rehman, leader of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, are reportedly killed in a drone attack in tribal area of Pakistan.
According to an international news agency, the drone attack was made in North Waziristan area of Federally Administered Tribal Area of the country.
This is the first major drone attack from United States after the policy statement from Barack Obama last week giving reasoning to operate drone planes in the area.
According to locals, at least four persons killed in the attack occurred at Chashma area of North Waziristan while four persons injured who are in critical condition.
TTP spokesman says that he cannot confirm the news as he is not aware with the issue.
Wali considered to be an important figure for the militant outfit and remained one of most wanted persons in international lists.
