Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar on Tuesday said that national and international establishments are involved in hijacking the elections 2013.
Addressing a joint press conference along with Awami National Party (ANP) leader Shahi Syed and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik at MQM headquarters, 90, Sattar said that level playing field was not available for all political parties.
“Moderate and liberal are forced to either boycott elections or to stay away from election activities despite of attacks on their election offices,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahi Syed said that Islam comes first for him and they were ready to sacrifice their lives for the safeguard of the religion.
“TTP bared only MQM, ANP and PPP from taking part in elections while on the other hand Jamat-i-Islami, PML-N, PTI and JUI-F are given free hand to run their political activities,” he said.
“We will continue to sacrifice our lives despite threats from the militant group,” he said.
