Islamabad: A US diplomat, who killed one Pakistani and injured another by hitting his car to a motorcycle in Islamabad on Thursday night, was released by the capital police on the surety of the American consulate.
The police held the diplomat and registered a case under Section 320 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against after he ran down the bikers identified as Shozab Raza and Muzammil Shah, the employees of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Muzammil Shah breathed his last in the emergency room of Poly Clinic, however Shozab Raza is said to be out of danger.
The diplomat spent the night in lockup but released by the police on Friday morning on the surety of American consulate.
