Quetta: A man was killed and 11 others, including three policemen, injured in a blast in Quetta, police said on Monday.
Media reports said the blast took place on Zarghon road outside the office of Urban Development. According to the reports, a bomb was apparently planted in a bicycle.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where a man succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police and Frontier Corps (FC) rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
Bomb disposal squad also arrived on the site of blast but the nature of the blast was yet to be ascertained. However, TV reports claimed that 5 kg explosive material was used in the blast.
