Islamabad: The judicial commission probing the memogate issue has bawled out the Director General of Foreign Ministry to US Sohail Khan over no-reply regarding the missing Blackberry sets of Husain Haqqani and summoned the Foreign Secretary.
The commission while hearing the case at Islamabad High Court (IHC) sought in-camera briefing about the secret funds of Pakistan Embassy in Washington.
Justice Qazi Faiz Essa, the head of the commission, said that the commission was being personally targeted.
The commission said that the Foreign Office had acted against the proceeding on the issue of the embassy’s disobedience.
DG Foreign Office assured the commission that action would be taken henceforth.
Deputy Attorney General Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri said that the embassy’s answer made it evident that Husain Haqqani had not informed the embassy about his phone set going missing.
The commission had ordered the former ambassador to appear before the commission with his Blackberry sets and other documents.
