Larkana: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has harshly criticized the Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for what he said taking up the petitions against the government and paying no heed to the petition sent by him, seeking revisit of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto case.
He was addressing a public gathering on the 4th anniversary of his wife and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
The embattled president, who has recently been under treatment in Dubai after the alleged memogate surfaced, seems very energetic during his rare speech, targeting the apex court and ‘anti-democratic forces’.
“We don’t make headlines, we make history,” the president said and added that his government had given identity to Pakhtuns and run the country appropriately during two floods in the country.
Zardari said tailor-made democracies don’t work. I don’t pay heed to anyone except Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani as he represents the parliament.
President Asif Ali Zardari said his youngest daughter Aseefa Bhutto would continue the journey of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed by picking up the flag of her slain mother.
He said the chapter of Benazir assassination has reopened after former US State Secretary Condoleezza Rice’s book surfaced.
The president said he wanted to address miseries of people of Balochistan. ” I want to resolve the matter by leaving under the federation,” he said.
