Peshawar: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter planes pounded militant hideouts in country’s northwestern tribal region. Killing at least 10 and injuring five others, official sources said on Monday.
The sources said that the planes attacked the militants in Kurram Agecny areas of Ali Sherzai, Masuzai and Satakai. They said that at least five militanst hideouts were destroyed in the bombardment.
Pakistani military has been battling a home grown insurgency since 2008 in the restive region near Afghan borders.
At least 35,000 people, including army men and paramilitary soldiers have lost their lives in terror attacks inside the country, sole nuclear power in the Muslim world.
