Islamabad: Pakistan people’s Party (PPP) has applauded Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani’s statement of ruling out speculations regarding a military coup.
A meeting of PPP Core Committee was co-chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Friday.
The committee expressed its resolved for continuing its efforts for the stability of democracy and supremacy of the Constitution.
The committee said that the governmnet didn’t want confrontation between institutions.
