Larkana: As Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) intends to observe 4th anniversary of its late chairperson and former Prime Minister BenazirBhutto on December 27 amid memo controversy, which political observers see a threat to the civilian government, as many as 20 PPP activists will commit self immolation in Naudero, Larkana, hometown of Benazir Bhutto.
Munir Abro, a PPP activist told The News Tribe Correspondent that he along with others 19 companions will set themselves on fire on December 27 in protest against party policy and government’s failure to arrest BB’s killers despite the party remained at the helm of affairs since February 2008.
Political commentators are of the view that President Asif Ali Zardari who is also cochairman of the PPP will use the anniversary for sending strong message to his opponents.
