Karachi: Results of Karachi Arts Council election shows that panel of famous actor, Umer Sharif faced defeat without winning a single seat.
Election Commissioner Roshan Ali has said that incumbent Ahmed Shah panel won all the seats.
Ahmed Shah elected as President after taking 2001 votes while Mehmood Shah took 1700 votes and nominated as Vice-President.
While Prof. Ejaz Farooqui became Secretary and Ameen Yousuf General Secretary after grabbing 1995 and 1903 votes, respectively.
Actress Huma Mir got 1643 votes and elected as Treasurer.
Earlier, around 60 percent eligible (2919) voters used their right to vote on Sunday out of 4954.
