Hangu: Pakistani forces on Friday killed at least 15 militants and injured several others during a clash in northwestern tribal region, official sources said.
According to sources, a large number of militants attacked security forces checkpost in Khanki area of Upper Orakzai, wounding 17 officials.
They said that the forces repulsed the militant attack, killing 15 and injuring several others.
Wounded army personnel were shifted to military hospital for treatment.
Pakistan’s military has been battling a TTP-led insurgency in country’s northwestern tribal regions since 2008.
More than 35,000 people, including military personnel have lost during the war against terrorists in the country.
