Washington: Pakistani diplomats on Friday said Nato attack on military checkposts was a deliberate act and Nato officer tendered apology during the assault which lasted for at least an hour, killing 24 soldiers.
During a rare media briefing in Washington, the diplomats say Nato continued its attack on Pakistani outposts despite being aware of military presence.
They said a Nato coordination officer apologized for the attack during the assault and again tendered apology after the attack for being unable to stop the aggression.
The diplomats asserted Pakistani soldiers deployed at another post opened fire in their defence after being informed of Nato assault chekposts.
However, Pentagon avoided commenting over the rare press briefing, saying the matter was being probed and they would be able to say anything after the investigation was completed.
