Lahore: Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) President on Thursday hailed government of boycotting Bonn conference on Afghanistan future and suspending supplies for North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s to Afghanistan in reaction to its attack on military checkposts in Mohmand Agency that killed 24 soldiers last month.
Talking to media here, the former prime minister said that the Nato supplies should remain suspended until the alliance tendered apology for the assault which violated Pakistan’s sovereignty.
He said that the country had become mired by rumours. Replying a query Sharif said that martial law would not be tolerated as the country was not able to bear burden of another coup.
Sharif skipped a question regarding early general election, saying specific date could not be given for the election.
He said that the PML-N didn’t take the memogate issue to the Supreme Court of Pakistan for personal gain rather it was for national interests.
Sharif prayed for President Asif Ali Zardari for his earlier recovery.
