Lahore: The Pakistan Hockey Federation will host the Chinese men’s hockey team from December 19 to 25 for a four-match Test series which will be opened the new journey of International events in the country.
China will arrive in Karachi on Dec 19 to play the opener on Dec 21 and the second match on Dec 22.
Pakistan will take on China in the third match on Dec 24 in Faisalabad while the final contest will be held in Lahore on Dec 25.
China making it clear that the PHF should avoid too much travelling for their players due to security concerns.
Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Asif Bajwa said that PHF president Qasim Zia met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday in connection with ensuring strict security arrangements during the series.
He said the series was important, since it would help Pakistan restore confidence of other teams to tour Pakistan in future.
PHF secretary Asif Bajwa has said that “Obviously we know just how important this tour is going to be for Pakistan hockey and sports and we are constantly in touch with the interior ministry and security officials to provide foolproof security for the visiting team”.
