Karachi: A low intensity blast took place in Shahra e Faisal area of Karachi near Lines Area’s Imam Bargah.
Eye witnesses and Police sources claims that blast took place in Auto spare part market in Lines Area of Karachi.
Police, Rangers, Scouts and emergency services have reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
Local residents were present at the blast point also claimed that explosion was result of Grenade blast.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ferozabad Nisar Kaim Khani confirmed that the blast accrued after a gas slander exploded in side a shop. No one was hurt and no causality were reported.
Security forces are on high alert in the city due to ongoing events linked to Muharram.
Interior Minister took note of a cylinder explosion along a Muharram procession route, ordering a Joint Investigation Team to investigate the blast.
