Karachi: The Sindh government has decided on Thursday to provide flour for Rs.21 per kg in the holy month of Ramzan.
The spokesperson of Food Department Munir Ahmad Janbani has told that the Food department would provide 245,000 tons of wheat to the mills in the month of Ramzan. He told that Food Department Sindh has purchased 100 kg wheat for almost Rs. 2525, Sindh would provide wheat to the flour mills for about Rs. 1760 per 100 kg; as a result of which Federal government have to bear subsidy of 2 billion.
He said that cheap flour would be sold in saving markets and the stalls established by flourmills. Masses are happy by this decision but they are of the view that Food Department had to keep an eye on the provision of wheat.
