New Delhi: Although the international media has been propagating incessantly on how Pakistan is adding atom bombs in its arsenal, the Indians also seem to be concerned about Pakistan’s newly inducted nuclear missile ‘Nasr’ widely dubbed as ‘game-changer’ in future warfare.
Commenting on ‘Nasr’s capability, Indian air chief Marshal P V Naik said “Tactical or strategic, it is a nuclear weapon. Addressing a press conference he said India followed a ‘no-first-use’ nuclear policy but said its response would be “very heavy” in the event of any nuclear attack on the country.
Marshal Naik said, obviously our response would be absolutely violent as per our existing policy. I don’t think it is (Nasr) a game-changer,” he added.
“Our nuclear policy is of no first use. It also talks about a very heavy response in case of a nuclear attack. It talks about a retaliatory and hard response, our policy talks about that,” he added.
