Lahore: Former federal law minister Babar Awan has warned the Punjab government to announce Local Bodies (LB) Elections till 30 July, 2011 otherwise future strategy would be withdrawn in a LB Convention of former Nazims.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, senior PPP leader said that Punjab government was continuously violating the constitution and ignoring both the representatives of local bodies and institutions.
He blamed that only nominal funds have been allocated for the development projects in Saraiki and Potohar regions. He said that the masses are getting ready against one-man show in Punjab.
Awan claimed that the Punjab government has badly failed to provide maximum facilities to the marginalized groups of the province and nothing has been done so far for the welfare of the people.
He blamed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is propagating against the PPP and in this respect PML-N publishing fake surveys in America for their own popularity. But the people of Pakistan are with PPP and the upcoming general elections will this.
