Karachi: Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ibad has appealed to the protesting employees of the Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited (KESC) to end their protest till July 25 .
The governor after having a meeting with the administration of the utility asked the employees to put off their protest for four days, adding that if the issue was not resolved within the four days the employees would have the right to protest.
Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan said that the government had sought 4-day time to resolve the issue. “if the issues was not resolved within the stipulated time we will be favouring the employees” the minister added.
Moreover, the KESC’s labour union leaders said they would decide over the governor’s request after consulting with whole the employees.
