Kabul: Two Taliban spokesmen Zabiullah Mujahid and Qari Yousuf said their mobile phones were hacked and false text messages regarding the death of movement’s supreme leader Mullah Omar sent out on Wednesday.
Zabihullah Mujahid said their phones were hacked by the American intelligence and vowed that the Taliban would take revenge on the telephone network providers.
The messages came from phone numbers used in the past by both Mujahid and a second spokesman Mohammad Qari Yousuf and said “spiritual Leader Mullah Mohammad Omar Mujahid has died” and “May Allah bless his soul”.
