Larkana: An explosive situation broke out as prisoners resorted to violent protests at being shifted to other jails. DSP Amin Khoso and DSP Aqeel were inured as police launched an operation to overcome the protests.
Rangers are now launching a joint operation along with the police to contain the situation. According to reports, nine policemen are being held captive by the prisoners.
On the other hand about 100 prisoners have voluntarily surrendered to the police and rangers.
Operation is still underway and the situation has still not been contained. Several prisoners have also been injured.
