Islamabad: Former Federal Minister and president Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Muqam has vowed to support the ongoing US-sponsored war on terror despite repeated attempts on his life and terrorist attacks on him and his rallies.
Responding a question during an interview, Amir Muqam said that he considered the ongoing war against terrorism as his own war, saying that he was not agreed with the notion that it was US’s war.
He said that despite cut in US aids, Pakistan could carry on the ongoing campaign against terrorism, saying that Pakistan must have evolved strategy to meet the expenses it is incurring or it has to incur in the war from its own resources.
He flayed ANP-led KP government for withdrawing his security, saying that he was being targeted for his political stand. By withdrawing his security, ANP is targeting him for his opposition to the new name of the province, he added.
He said that he would continue supporting the ongoing war against terrorism, saying that life and death were from Allah and he had complete faith in Allah Almighty. He rejected the impression that he would abandon political activities or cut his political activities following the attempts on his life.
He said that he did not follow the people who shifted to Islamabad after attacks, saying that he would remain among his people.
