Karachi: All telephones lines of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s headquarter in Karachi have been disconnected, claimed MQM officials late on Sunday.
Talking to a private Pakistan TV channel (Geo News), MQM’s spokesman Anees Ahmed Advocate blamed that Pakistan Peoples’ Party has prepared plan to target MQM’s central office ‘Nine Zero’ and former Sindh home minister Zulfikar Mirza met MQM (Haqiqi) imprisoned Chairperson Afaq Ahmed to complete the plan.
He alleged that Dr Mirza called on Afaq Ahmed on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari. He warmed that PPP leadership would be responsible of any stern results.
Anees Advocate alleged that Dr Mirza also contacted Liyari gang war leader Ozair Jan Baloch to finalize the plan to attack Nine Zero. But, he said MQM worker would sabotage all notorious plans of attacking Nine Zero and they would defence it since their last blood.
Meanwhile, Dr Mirza confirmed that he had met with Afaq Ahmed as a Pakistani. He said he has been in contact with MQM-H leader in the past and would do so the same in the future.
He made it clear that meeting with Afaq Ahmed was not a sin.
However, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that he was unaware of any contact with Afaq Ahmed. He also said that PPP government has not disconnected the telephones lines of Nine Zero.
The CM Sindh said that doors were open for MQM to join back government, and MQM’s ministers’ resignations were yet to be accepted.
Anees Advocate said that MQM was a democratic party and it believe on democratic system.
He demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary that asks Chief Justice Sindh High Court why he called on Mirza.
He alleged that PPP want to divide Sindh Province of Pakistan but MQM would not give permission to anyone to do so.
The MQM leader said that PPP want to bow down MQM that’s why they were using illegal ways to press MQM, but all plans would be sabotaged.
PPP has no power to accept MQM’s ministers resignation.
However, MQM’s senior leader Mustafa Aziz Ababdi said that actions against Muttahid Qaumi Movemnet has been started.
