Muzzaffarabad: Azad Jammu Kashmir Election Commission has announced date for AJK Legislative Assembly elections on LA-30 and LA-36.
According to the notification the elections will be held on July 20. It is to mention here that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had filed a writ petition in the AJK High Court against the postponement of polls on the seats. The MQM also parted ways with the PPP-led government in protest against the postponement of elections on LA-30 and LA-36 on Karachi constituencies.
The election commission issued the notification following the direction by the High Court.
