Islamabad: Prominent scientist and member Planning Commission Dr Samar Mubarakmand has said that electricity and gas production could be started by August this year from the Thar coal project if the government provides air compressor and required equipment.
He deplored that the implementation of government’s policy and planning was very slow. Speaking at a conference he said that loads hedding of the utilities was not a solution to power crises, facing the country. The scientist said that if measures were not taken to overcome the power crises, the situation will get aggravated.
He said he was compelled to cry while working on the Thar Coal Project .The scientist said government’s behavior toward the Thar Coal project was very disappoint.
