KARACHI: Eight more swine flu cases were tested positive in Karachi, the southern city of Pakistan, and the numbers of cases have reached to 32 in the ongoing winter season in Sindh alone, said Provincial In charge of Swine Flu Cell.
Dr Suresh Kumar on Thursday told The News Tribe (TNT) that eight more cases of swine flu were tested positive including two infant boys and a minor girl. The victims were identified as Irfanullah, 29, M Azam 19, Ayanullah eight- month, Habib six-month, Dr Shumaila 29, M Azam 19, Wania Khan, five and Wahabullah six, he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Shumaila had treated a swine flu patient, 30-year-old Iftikharullah, in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Karachi, who later died on December 30, 2010.
However, two people including Iftikharullh have been died so far. The rising cases of swine flu raise a question on the performance of authorities concerned.
