Karachi: A three-member team has been formed to probe into the Tuesday’s blast that injured four students at the Karachi University.
DIG Karachi East Commander Shaukat Ali Shah told media on Wednesday that a committee comprising SSP Umer Khitab, SSP Gulshan Town Naeem Sheikh and Commander Sachal Rangers has been formed, adding the team had started investigation.
Educational activities and examinations scheduled for today (Wednesday) have been suspended at the Karachi University. However, the varsity’s Administration Block will remain open on the day after getting clearance from the security officials.
According to preliminary investigations, one kilogram of explosive material containing ball bearings was used in the timer-fitted bomb.
Strict security arrangements have been made by Rangers on the campus following the blast, a KU statement said
